According to statistics by Ministry of Health and Welfare, liver cancer is the second-leading cause of death in Taiwan. Most hepatitis shows no symptoms. Patients with primary liver cirrhosis and liver cancer may have normal liver function, therefore when severe symptoms appears, it is usually too late.
